About the Department

Electronics and telecommunication engineering is one of the largest and fastest-growing fields of engineering. Having qualified and trained professionals in this field are the need of the hour. Currently, the department offers 1. The Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree (undergraduate) and 2. The Ph.D. degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. This department was established during the inception of the institute in 1994. Dear Students and Stakeholders,

It is with great pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to the Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Department at Fr. C.R.I.T, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. As the Head of the Department, I am delighted to provide you with an overview of our esteemed UG degree program, which accommodates an intake of 60 students and holds accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

Our program is designed to immerse students in the dynamic world of Electronics & Telecommunication, commencing with foundational concepts and progressively advancing towards high-end technologies. The overarching vision of our department is to deliver a high-quality and application-oriented education that equips students with technical competence and ethical values, enabling them to contribute to society and industry with dedication.

Our faculty comprises a team of well-qualified, experienced, and motivated individuals who are committed in preparing young minds to compete on a global scale. The department takes pride in its well-equipped labs and excellent infrastructure, ensuring an enriching learning experience for our students.

In addition to academic rigor, we actively engage our students in a plethora of activities, including seminars, workshops, and project competitions conducted under the aegis of the student chapters. We strongly encourage participation in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities at the Department, Institute, University, and National levels, fostering a holistic educational experience.

Program Specific Outcomes

Graduates will be able to:

Apply knowledge in engineering mathematics, science, signal processing, communication theory, and microwave engineering for analysis of telecommunication networks for services such as voice, data, image & video transport.
Analyse, design, and synthesize electronic components based circuits, embedded systems, VLSI circuits, and related hardware/software.
Learn emerging multidisciplinary technologies including, but not restricted to, Artificial Intelligence & Deep Learning, Internet of Things, Robotics, and E-Vehicles.

Graduates will be able to:

Design and simulate electronic systems at the hardware level, using digital systems and VLSI design methodologies to develop efficient solutions.
Develop real-time, intelligent, and connected systems using the knowledge in embedded systems, IoT, and signal-processing techniques.
Explore and apply emerging technologies like Communication Network Security, Robotics, AI, and Deep Learning to solve complex, multidisciplinary problems.
